Since the start of the Israel-Hamas war, open letters calling for a ceasefire have been one of the most common ways for thousands of academics, from Boston to Los Angeles, to register their opposition to Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.
Now, two such statements are at the center of a new federal investigation of alleged antisemitism at Johns Hopkins University.
